A LETTER FROM OUR MISSIONARIES
Drs. Leslie and
Cynthia Morgan
The Pipe Line - March 17, 2005
Dear Friends,
Thank you so much for supporting us in our work as medical
missionaries during 2004. Through the Directed Mission Support program of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.), your contributions
helped provide our living allowance, travel expenses, housing, medical coverage, and funds to educate our children. Your gifts
along with the prayers and personal support gave us what we needed to continue our service in Bangladesh.
As we approach the end of our sixteenth year as missionaries,
we see how God has given us opportunities to serve in rewarding ways. During 2004, we led Christian
Mission Hospital in the establishment of a Board of Trustees to improve its management and effectiveness
in reaching out to people in need of good medical care. At the same time, Cindy continued her treatment of women and children,
and I (Leslie) gave special attention to patients suffering from tuberculosis.
We helped the Church of Bangladesh in other ways, too, through Cindy’s personal ministry to children living in the church youth hostels and through
my service on the church’s Synod Executive Committee. Our work has led us into deeper relationships with the people
of Bangladesh, and we pray that God will use those relationships to demonstrate his tender
compassion, mercy, and love for us all.
Thank you again for making it possible for us to work as missionaries
in Bangladesh. Serving here on your behalf is a privilege for which we are deeply grateful.
Your Brother and Sister in Christ,
Les and Cindy
