Our Beckley Center:
The Beckley Shepherd’s Center is located on the lower
floor of the
Beckley
Presbyterian Church at 203 S. Kanawha Street (enter from the parking lot behind the church). Parking is available behind the church or in the City
Bank lot.
We meet once a week on Tuesdays, September through June, from 9:00am – 12:00 noon. Lunch is served at 12:00 noon and costs $3.00.
Membership is $20 a year, or $7.00 per quarter.
What do we do at our meetings? After coffee and conversation at 9am, various activities and classes are scheduled and taught by volunteers. Depending on our members’ interests, classes can be added or changed as needed. We also offer a Blood Pressure Clinic from 9:00 – 10:30.
Some of the classes and activities we offer are: Exercise,
Art and Painting, Line Dancing, Square and Round Dancing, Needle Crafts and Quilting, Bible Study, Beginning Computer Instruction,
Life Enrichment, Singing, Travelogues, Crafts, Photography/Developing, and Sharing Your
Talents.
Meetings are not held during
Thanksgiving week, Christmas/New Years school and Easter breaks, or when school is called off or there is a two-hour delay
because of inclement weather. All seniors are welcome. Please come and join us.
