What are Shepherd's Centers?
of Americais a national network of Shepherd’s Centers
numbering nearly 80 Centers located in 25 states. The organization takes its
name from the Twenty-third Psalm, representing faith in action in the community.
Shepherd's Centers give hope to older persons as they explore their role and function in society. While encouraging
congregations to serve their own members, Shepherd's Centers enable congregations to work together to provide more effective
programs and services designed to serve the whole community.
They are sponsored and incorporated by clusters of congregations of various faiths. Other agencies and institutions
in the community often become community partners.
